Canada lifts suspension of arms exports to Saudi Arabia
The Canadian government is lifting a suspension on arms exports to Saudi Arabia and has renegotiated a controversial multibillion-dollar contract that will see an Ontario-based company sell light armoured vehicles (LAVs) to Riyadh.
Campaigners have said there is credible evidence Canadian arms are being used by the Saudi-UAE led coalition in the long-running conflict in Yemen.
At every opportunity since the diplomatic spat erupted in August 2018, Trudeau’s government has been trying behind the scenes to ‘normalise’ relations with Saudi Arabia, in spite of their horrendous human rights record and leading role in the brutal war in Yemen,” Fenton said, referring to the diplomatic dispute that erupted in August 2018 after Ottawa criticised Riyadh over its crackdown on women’s rights activists.
“Now, under the cover of the chaos brought on by the global pandemic, they’ve elected to reopen the weapons exports’ floodgates, placating Canada’s arms industry, while likely calculating little pushback from the media or public.”

Hungary’s Pro-Family Policies Lead to Jump in Birth Rate, Marriages
Hungary’s pro-family policies have been met with contempt and even derision by neoliberal pundits who have begrudged Central and Eastern Europe’s resistance to globalist politics in recent years.
As well as steadfastly rejecting mass immigration, Hungary addressed their waning birth rates by promoting pro-family policies–something attempted by the Roman Empire under the Emperor Octavian in 9 AD–which was disparaged by the liberal commentariat.
The policies were warmly welcomed by conservatives on social media, who have thrown their unwavering support behind Hungary’s stubbornness in adopting politically correct ideologies.
Hungary’s population decline slowed by 47 percent in January 2020 after 9.4 percent more births and 17 percent fewer deaths were registered compared with the same period last year, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said on Friday.
The number of marriages almost doubled, with 2,863 couples tying the knot, compared with the same period last year, and the highest January number since 1982.
In the first month of the year, 8,067 children were born, 694 more than in the same period last year, while 11,553 people died, 2,356 fewer than in January 2019.
The rate of natural population decline dropped to 0.42 percent from 0.79 percent in January 2019, KSH said. [source]
If coronavirus doesn’t discriminate, how come black people are bearing the brunt?
I wanted to believe the comforting thought that, when it comes to coronavirus, we are all in this together.. That knowing we’re all equally at risk, we’re pulling together in the same direction, bearing the strain equally.
The false nature of this belief was initially most obvious in relation to class. Once the lockdown was imposed, a gulf very quickly opened up between those on full salaries working on laptops from home, fretting about having to cancel Easter holidays, and those living hand to mouth, fretting about how to feed their children and avoid being made homeless.
Government advice revealed its ignorance of how many people actually live. How do you self-isolate when you live in cramped or shared accommodation? How do you reduce shopping trips to once a week when you have little or no storage space? And if you do want to go to the park or do an extra shop, you now risk not only infection, but coming into contact with the police, some of whom are zealously taking advantage of their new social control powers.
Adele’s Rumoured Divorce Settlement Is *Not* Equality at Work
So our girl Adele has earned some loot. And it would be nice if she could keep it, or at least not be forced to give more than half of it to her ex-husband.
Plus, if we’re going to talk about equality? What about the fact that, even in Canada, women *still* only earn 75 cents for every dollar earned by a man? The numbers are even more ghastly for Indigenous women, women of colour and transgender women, as well as women who are new to Canada.
This is complete utter bullshit. Wage gap is a myth, see the tag about it on this site.

Humor: Movement That Demands Forceful Silencing Of All Opposing Viewpoints Unsure Why Nation So Divided
A political movement that immediately demands that people they disagree with be forcefully silenced by myriad means such as having their sponsors pulled and having them fired from their jobs expressed Friday that they weren’t 100% sure why the nation was so polarized and divided. Lamenting the significant problem of America’s deep divisions while simultaneously creating internet mobs to lynch those with whom they disagree, the nation’s liberals collectively stated they couldn’t figure out why polar opposites continued to drift further and further apart.
Representatives of the left, who recently campaigned for advertisers to tank a show they did not like and for a magazine to fire a man they did not agree with, expressed their bewilderment that the nation can’t just unite and all get along. A barrage of social media posts and opinion pieces by progressives all expressed similar confusion at the nation’s polarization.

Moreover, it appears that those dying of COVID-19 are disproportionately the poor and people of color, attesting to systemic inequality in the United States. This is not merely a manifestation of systemic racism and classism. It reveals a lack of situational awareness about the trajectory of the pandemic itself, which will seriously undermine containment.

Dr. Deborah Birx, the response coordinator for the White House coronavirus task force, said the federal government is continuing to count the suspected COVID-19 deaths, despite other nations doing the opposite.

REPORT: Pro-Migrant Activist ‘Raped’ By Migrant Who’s Also Pro-Migrant Activist
A female French pro-migrant activist has accused a Moroccan migrant–who is also a pro-migrant activist–of raping her.
The woman was allegedly raped in a mobile home parked at a Les Palominos beach campsite, near Calais–home of the infamous migrant camp for migrants wishing to gain access to the UK, which was previously destroyed.
According to local paper Voice of Europe reported on an incident at pro-migration rally in Montpellier where attendees were assaulted and robbed by migrants.
National File reported on a similarly sad case in September of 2019, where an aspiring doctor and pro-migration activist was stabbed to death by a migrant–and former lover–she was housing in her apartment.
Medical Student, Audrey Coignard, 27, was stabbed to death on September 16th allegedly by a man believed to be an immigrant and ex-partner who was staying at her home.
Coignard was brutally stabbed fourteen times and found in a pool of her own blood at her home in Saint-Ouen, near Paris.
Coignard, a medical student in Caen, volunteered for activist causes, offering assistance to migrants at different locations in Normandy, Northern France.

WHO’s early coronavirus response raises awkward questions about Beijing relationship
New questions are being asked about whether the WHO has sought to curry favour with China in ways that have undermined the reliability of its advice.
In the early afternoon of Jan. 31, the lead World Health Organization representative in Beijing held a video briefing to update diplomats on the spread of a deadly new virus – and to laud China for everything it was doing.

Canada facing ‘major’ medical gear shortage as 68 countries restrict exports – After Trudeau sent 16 Tons of medical equipment to China in February
Officials across the country this week warned that equipment shortfalls are placing health-care workers and vulnerable Canadians at growing risk of exposure to the virus.
A lack of supply and surging demand have sent prices soaring for goods from gowns to gloves, swabs and face shields. “One government had placed an order for 200 million masks from China. And what this did overnight to the price of masks was to treble them,” Evenett said.
